LEICESTER crashed to their second defeat in succcession, as Bristol City came away from the Walkers Stadium with all three points.
The vistors sailed into a half-time lead with first half goals from Ivan Sproule and Cole Skuse, a deficit that the Foxes never looked like reducing throughout the game.
Ducthman Evander Sno grabbed Bristol's third goal on 76 minutes to confirm Leicester's fate, with Matty Fryatt adding a consolation in the third minute of stoppage time for the home side.
To make matters worse Martyn Waghorn was given his marching orders with ten minutes remaining for a late challenge on Robins defender Jamie McAllister.
Manager Nigel Pearson rung the changes for the match following Saturday's dismal display at Forest, bringing in Michael Morrison, Ryan McGivern, Paul Gallagher and Day N'Guessan in for Robbie Neilson, Bruno Berner, Matty Fryatt and Yann Kermorgant.
But it wasn't enough for Leicester, who now head into their crucial match with out-of-form Sheffield Wednesday on the back of two defeats, a bad patch Pearson will not be looking to transform into a rut.
The defeat sees the Foxes drop out of the play-off places into 7th, with Bristol City climbing up to 8th.
