Latest Gatting targets Leicester

Gatting is a famous English sporting name and Leicester City could well be threatened by another member of that celebrated family at Brighton tomorrow.

Joe Gatting, nephew of the legendary former England cricket captain and Middlesex opener Mike Gatting has Leicester in his sights when the clubs clash in their Championship relegation clash.

On Wednesday the youngster scored a brace to help Brighton's Youth team win a place in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals with a 3-2 extra-time win over Blackburn at Ewood Park.

He is a prolific marksman with 30 goals to his name so far this season.

The son of former Brighton defender Steve Gatting, Joe has now been drafted into the first team squad for tomorrow's game having made his debut against Southampton as a substitute in January.

If he starts he will become the first player to make his full debut for either side in a Brighton/Leicester fixture.

But, having played two hours at Blackburn he may be named as a substitute.

Definitely out for Brighton is skipper Charlie Oatway who will miss the rest of the season with a broken ankle, winger Seb Carole is also a doubt with ankle trouble but defender Alan Hinshelwood could feature after a long term knee injury.
