Roeder out, Burrows makes his case

In a move that will disappoint few City fans, Glenn Roeder has moved to Championship rivals Norwich.

Although not strongly rumoured for the job, at least we can now almost categorically state that Roeder will not be the next Leicester boss.

But if not Roeder then who?

It our last article we discussed a few possibilities but since then a few more have emerged.

Burrows

City caretaker Frank Burrows has declared an interest, he presided over our 2-0 win over Barnsley, but favoured the same personnel and formation of that of Megson, too similar? Like going for McClaren after Sven?

I don't think he is the right man for the job full-time, however it's nice to know that we are capable of picking up points whilst we sort out the right man for the job.

Taggs, Walsh, The Birch

Ok, I made the last one up, but coach Gerry Taggart has the badges and the passion, and Steve Walsh certainly wants to be considered too for the job, both would be popular with the fans but their lack of experience would seem to be a major factor, Brian Little as Director of Football perhaps?

Joe Royle

Been out of the game for a while, but left having guided an Ipswich side just out of administration to two consecutive playoff positions. Plays nice attacking football which may be a refreshing change for the City faithful

In true 'Leicester City Panto' style, maybe there's some mileage in trying to get a TV programme out of this with a few celebs chucked in for good measure. I would suggest a reality show like 'Have I got news for you'. Using their current format of guest presenters we could have a 'Guest Manager' every week who can bring in their own players for that one match.... 'Have i got Blues for you?' anyone......

You joke but I reckon this is the sort of thing that Mandaric would love, I could see him in an Alan Sugar role, "Martin, you're fired!"
