Kisnorbo's World Cup chance

Leicester City centre-back Patrick Kisnorbo is to get his chance to break back into the Australian World Cup team.

According to the Herald Sun, Kisnorbo will be called up to the squad for the Socceroos Asian Cup qualifier against Bahrain at Manama on February 22.

The opportunity arises because several of Australia's top players will be on European duty and not able to play.

Kisnorbo has not played for his country since June 2004 after falling out of favour with then manager Frank Farina.

The Aussies now have a new manager in Dutchman Guus Hiddink and a good game in Bahrain could be his passport to World Cup opportunity.
