Matty Fryatt has been speaking to his www.icons.com website on the stressful week at Leicester!
'It's been quite a stressful week at the club; we had the terrible incident when Clive Clarke collapsed at half-time against Forest followed by the departure of Martin Allen. Thankfully Clive is improving all the time and everyone at the club is thinking about him and his family. When something like that happens it puts everything else in perspective. One minute he was playing football and the next he was on the floor of the locker room. The physio and fitness trainer were brilliant and I'm sure their actions contributed to the fact that Clive made it to the hospital and was able to be treated.'
'At first I just thought he'd fainted and it wasn't anything serious, but it didn't take long for us to realise something terrible was happening and the players left the changing room so they could work on him. It's horrible to see one of your team mates in that condition and I hope never to see it again. Obviously we just all hope he continues to improve and that he'll be fine and healthy.'
He also speaks of the departure of Martin Allen admitting it wasn't a 'complete suprise' due to the rumours that had been about for weeks.
'When we played Forest their fans were taunting Martin Allen about losing his job and when it happened it was something we were sort of prepared for. It's what happens in football and in two years at Leicester - whoever comes in next will be the fifth manager I have played under. As players we just accept that people have different ideas about what direction the club should be going in and that means that people will come and go. We know that we just have to get on with our jobs on the pitch.'
