It'll Be Albrighton Against Bournemouth
Winger Marc Albrighton has backed Leicester City to return to winning ways when we face Bournemouth this weekend.
Having been held to a disappointing one all draw with Stoke City in our last encounter, Albrighton knew it should've been all three points with Harry Maguire and Matty James both hitting the woodwork on the day, but that game is over and all focus now is on the weekend.
Speaking to lcfc.com as he met with the media to reflect on our last draw and his hopes for this weekend, the former Aston Villa man explained.
'We look for maximum points in these games. It`s the same as the Swansea game. We had all the ball and we had good chances but we just couldn`t find that cutting edge that we need to get the goals. We had a bit of bad luck along the way as well. We hit the post a couple of times and the 'keeper has made a couple of saves as well. Ultimately, it`s disappointing.'
Albrighton went on to say that there were positives the team would take from the game, and hopefully put into action this weekend.
'We started the game well, which is what we said to do before the game - to start well. After 15 or 20 minutes, we backed off. Even if we had gone in at half-time at 0-0, I think the manager still would have said we need to pick our game up. We started well but we need to get back to that level. We knew going out into the second half that we needed to raise our game and we did that. We piled the pressure on and we had chance after chance, but I don`t think luck was on our side either.'
Turning attentions more specifically to Bournemouth, he ended by saying that it was important we got back to winning ways quickly so we could end the season on a high.
'It`s a big game again and we need to win that one. There`s no getting away from that fact. We should have beat Swansea here and we should have beat Stoke here. We have to beat Bournemouth. We`ll prepare this week and hopefully we can get the result.'
