'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Final Countdown

Leicester City fans will be counting down the hours as they wait for the press conference which has been scheduled by Leicester City for midday. The deal between Mandaric and Leicester seems to be 99% complete, but you still won`t find any Leicester fans celebrating until it has been officially announced.

Originally Mandaric made his interest known about Leicester towards the end of last year, but due to behind the scene problems, Mandaric returning home and board resignations, the deal has been delayed.

The length it has taken the takeover to be complete looks even more embarrassing when you consider that Liverpool took under 2 weeks to complete the suggested 450m takeover by Hicks and Gillett. When you look at the amount involved in the Liverpool takeover, it makes you think that the estimated 25m takeover between City and Mandaric should have been dealt with a lot quicker.

Even so, City fans will just be happy when Mandaric has been confirmed as the new owner and will be hoping that the positive news will filter down into the performance of the player over the rest of the season.
