Fuchs Looking For Solid End To Season

Fuchs Looking For Solid End To Season

Austrian fullback Christian Fuchs has said that Leicester are determined to end the 2016/17 season on a high.

With face Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium on Thursday evening and then close out the campaign with Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon and Fuchs is looking for six from an available six.

Speaking to lcfc.com as he met with the media to preview the clash against Mauricio Pochettino's side, Fuchs explained.

'It was a great performance in many ways. It`s not easy coming from two goals down but it showed there is a lot of spirit in the team. We`ve not finished this season yet and we want to finish on a high. We felt we deserved a point. We were a little unlucky with the penalty but we now have two nice home games to finish the season with. Playing at the King Power doesn`t suit any away team. Then it is just a matter of bringing our performance onto the pitch. With those fans behind us, we can get a positive result.'

With struggles in the Premier League well known this year, Leicester are on course for a top ten finish and Fuchs knows how important that will be as we have to keep our momentum going to take into next season.

He knows Tottenham will be tough though but he's confident of returning a victory.

'We are both trying to give our best in these games. Obviously Tottenham will be disappointed. We are just looking at ourselves and trying to get the three points to end the season on a high. It will be something that nobody expected to finish in the top half. We have a chance. It`s something very achievable for us. We`re doing our best to get there and we`ll see what happens over the last two games.'
