Shakespeare Gives West Ham Injury Update
Manager Craig Shakespeare has been meeting with the media ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash against West Ham United.
With midweek Champions League success in the second leg over Sevilla, as Shakespeare spoke with lcfc.com as he met with the wider press, he explained that he felt the players were recovering well from their efforts on Tuesday evening and he expected almost everybody to be in contention for our trip to the London Stadium.
With three wins on the spin for Shakespeare since he took on the first team role following the departure of former manager Claudio Ranieri, he'll certainly be hoping that becomes four wins on the trot as we continue to look for top flight survival this year and aiding him in that will be the fact that he has a full group to call upon, with no fresh issues picked up against Sevilla, but midfielder Nampalys Mendy remains 50/50.
'Everyone is okay. Papy Mendy trained partly today and we will assess him again tomorrow to see if he can take more part in the training session, and then make a decision. He`s 50-50 for the squad but it is good having him out on training pitch again.'
Hopefully Mendy will come into his thoughts if he wants him for a spot on the bench, and we'll no doubt have more of Shakey's thoughts as the day goes on.
