False tribute to fans

False tribute to fans

The official site has recently released an article thanking the fans for the continued support over the last couple of weeks. Ironically they have failed to mention their attempt to withdraw the 10% discount for season tickets weeks before Christmas.

Their excuse was the new introduction of a club card which will allow supporters to earn points whilst shopping at various different participating stores. However, the majority of those stores involved in the promotion are situated all around the country, except in Leicester.

To add insult to injury the article also mentions the fact that the ticket sales for the next home game against Barnsley could well be a sell out. I`m not surprised by this statement when you consider that when I walked into my local pub I was to discover the promotional offer of buy 2 pints of beer and receive 2 tickets for the Leicester Vs Barnsley game for only £10.

Now I can understand the club trying to encourage more fans to turn up to home games, but when offers such as this come out it only de-values my season ticket and makes me question why I bother to fork out £400 at the beginning of every season.

The club may think that by releasing a see through PR article that it will improve the morale of the fans, but they should realise that they only way they will do that is if they start treating season ticket holders with the respect they deserve.

the season ticket discount thing is an absolute joke. you have to spent sh!t loads of money to get anything like the discount we used to gte. its just another way of devaluing the season ticket and taking the loyal fans (that they are praising, two faced buggers) for a ride. its a complete ***** take. if i didnt love the club so much, i'd tell them where to get off.

I completely agree, it seems as if the board realise the season ticket holders have already committed themselves to the season and so they dont give a **** about us!! :(

With you on this.....season ticket holders recieve no benefits after the initial outlay in the summer. A teams struggling and they put prices down to encourage people to go.....season ticket holders get nothing but strangers sat next to us.
