MK Dons 0-2 Leicester

MK Dons 0-2 Leicester

Manager Nigel Pearson would've been pleased with another good showing from the lads as we continue our pre season preparations ahead of the coming Premier League campaign.

Two goals from David Nugent and James Pearson were enough to separate the sides come full time, and Leicester continue to remain unbeaten in our pre season so far.

Nugent gave us the lead midway through the first period when his effort from 25 yards took a deflection off the defender to sail past the keeper, but going into the half time break with a goal advantage was nothing more than we deserved given our overall showing.

With other good chances falling our way, the second goal game courtesy of right back Pearson who volunteered a half volley from outside the box to secure the game for us in the second half.

The team again came through the match without any injuries which would've pleased the gaffer and a number of players got 90 minutes under their belts, with the other half of the squad getting the run out against Rotherham as the manager makes the most of the last few friendlies in terms of pushing players to the 90 minute mark and then giving pitch time and experience to some of our U21s.
