Pearson - Multiple Positives From Everton Win

Manager Nigel Pearson has said that Leicester came out as firm winners for a variety of reasons in last night's one nil victory over Everton.

A second half goal from Gary Taylor-Fletcher gave us the win, and it wasn't only the performance that pleased Pearson when he spoke to lcfc.com as having had good training ahead of the match, as well as numerous PR obligations, he was also delighted to have increased the profile of the club in Thailand.

'I think one of the important things about our visit is that we're a bit more visible for Thai people. I'm sure there are fans here that know a bit about us, but haven't had the chance to see us play. It's a pre season game, but we played a very good side and, all in all, we go home with a very worthwhile exercise negotiated. We've picked up no injuries and we look forward to the next game.'

Pearson goes on to say that it was an 'interesting' game for him and he certainly learned a lot from it, pointing out that they started well and were showing good quality in possession of the ball during the first half, but we tweaked it for the second period and changed our shape and that helped us to get more of a foothold on the game and impose our style on them, so it definitely gives him food for thought moving forward now.

The other obvious benefit with it being pre season is that a couple got 90 minutes under their belt, and others continued their own work with a solid 45 again and that obviously carries it's own importance as we ebb away at the weeks before the big kick off now.
