Barmby To Join U21s

Our third capture of the summer so far is Manchester United youngster Jack Barmby.

The 19 year old has signed a two year deal effective from July 1st, and has been capped at England Under 19 level. The versatile striker comes with an impressive goal record at various levels, and he spent the second half of last season out on loan with League 2 side Hartlepool United - scoring on his debut for them.

He ended the season having played 17 times, scoring five goals as they avoided a late relegation battle.

He has been signed with a view to the development squad but given his form last season, it would be a surprise if we didn't see something of him in the first team I think, just to ease him in and give him a taste.
