'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Schlupp Leaning To The Left

Jeff Schlupp has said he's enjoying his new left sided role at Leicester after starting our last three league games at both left back and left wing back.

The 20 year former striker, seems to have found himself a new home to good effect as Nigel Pearson continues to tinker, but it seems Schlupp is well on board with the new plan for him.

Speaking to lcfc.com Schlupp said he was just happy to be taking his chance and doing a job for the job, although he admits his transition from the forward spots to defence has been helped massively by the support of the more experienced members of the squad.

'It's a big change, it's from one side of the pitch to the other and I've really had to work on some of my defending qualities, one on ones, and getting tight to the winger. I think I've done well at adapting to that and I'm just looking forward to playing more games now.'

Schlupp admits he has one eye this season on trying to cement himself in the Ghana national side after making his debut back in 2011 and manager has said the more he plays for Leicester, the more he'll probably figure on the national stage, so with greater fitness levels this term and getting games under his belt, he knows it can only help his development even though it's coming in a position he didn't expect it to.
