'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pearson Pleased Despite Defeat

Nigel Pearson has said he can take plenty of positives from our defeat to AS Monaco the other day.

The visitors won three nil on the day, and the gaffer told lcfc.com.

'Whenever you're involved in pre season, you want to keep as many players involved as you can. I'm not a big believer in picking and playing the XI early. For us to have a successful season we need to have a squad ethic that enables you to deal with the ups and downs of a competitive division.'

Pearson says it was another good time for him to switch formations again during the game so the players learn the systems better.
