It's All A Bit Quiet On The Transfer Front

Sat here twiddling my thumbs, it's very quiet on the transfer front for Leicester City this summer.

Something tells me this won't last however!

With the players returning for pre season tests to assess how they have kept fitness levels over the break only Kasper Schmeichel, Sean St Ledger and Jermaine Beckford were missing.

Kasper of course has been the subject of speculation surrounding bids from Hull City, all of which has failed, and the player recently tweeted to quash reports that he had handed in a transfer request.

'Contrary to reports, I have never put a transfer request in and won't be.'

Which should please some - it does me.

He's simply missing because, like St. Ledger who has been told he can look for another club, both have been given additional time off following International commitments.

Jermaine Beckford remains in talks with Bolton Wanderers over a potential transfer and both parties appear to e confident a deal will be done shortly.

Ritchie Wellens' move to Doncaster seems to have fallen through with quotes from Wellens saying he will basically stay at the club to prove himself and win his first team spot back after giving Nigel Pearson no option but to pick him. Great attitude really.

There is also interest from Nottingham Forest in their former player Wes Morgan.

Whilst there seems to be nothing substantial, Forest have refused to rule out that there is an interest, but would Pearson be tempted to part with our Player of the Season? Not likely.

Final link I can see is a rather surprising one suggesting we are interested in Demba Ba of Chelsea.

Would be interesting if there's any substance in that given his goal record.
