'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Drinkwater - Return To Winning Ways

Danny Drinkwater has talked of the importance of returning to winning ways against Derby and kicking on in the league again after an impressive draw against Cardiff.

Speaking to lcfc.com the 23 year old was pleased with our performance against Cardiff, but he knows we have to get back to grabbing three points and making it work on the pitch on a consistent basis.

'We always want to play good football and hopefully we can do that against Derby. We do desperately need to get out of this stage in the season where we're losing and drawing games, we need to get back to winning.'

Drinkwater admitted playing with a midfield three was a little strange, but it worked out for us on the day allowing us to close them down easier, but he doesn't know if Pearson will employ the same tactics again, because regardless of the formation the players have to put a shift in and come away with the result we want.
