Pearson Rues Two Points Dropped
Nigel Pearson has said Cardiff's last gasp equaliser has left him frustrated tonight because the players deserved all three points from the game.
Speaking to lcfc.com following the 1-1 draw, the gaffer said.
'We should've won the game, we were the much better side. We had to work hard at it and it took a long time to come but the players were brave enough to work through it. It was disjointed, I don't think they have created anything of note. We defended well, but didn't stop the cross at the end and that cost us.'
Pearson adds that despite the late blow, he was thoroughly pleased with the response of the players, and their performance, following our recent results and commitment in games, so he is heartened that the results will come in the remaining games to secure our stated aim.
He also had praise for the way the fans carried the team throughout the game, saying that he also feels disappointment that the Foxes faithful didn't travel home having seen a win.
