Pearson Pleased With Equaliser

Nigel Pearson has said he was pleased with the spirit shown by the players as we fought back to secure a point tonight against Leeds.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the 1-1 draw that saw us fightback from 0-1 down, Pearson said it was definitely a well deserved point because we didn't deserve to end the game with nothing to show for our efforts.

'Things don't always go the way you want them to, but I'm pleased with the desire of the players to get something out of the game. The players deserved it to be honest. We worked the goalkeeper, he made some very good saves and they made some good blocks in the second half at which point it looked like it wasn't going to go for us, but we perservered. The players deserved something there's no doubt about that.'

Pearson admits he's disappointing we didn't get another three points, but in games like this he'd much rather us take the point than nothing as that counts towards our aim.

A good point gained when we looked like getting nothing. Hopefully we can build on this against Sheffield Wednesday.
