Hopper Returns To Leicester

Tom Hopper has had his loan spell at Bury cut short by the club.

The 19 year old was due to stay at the club until the end of the season after they applied to extend the loan, but manager Kevin Blackwell has sent him back early.

Hopper found the net twice in six games during his initial spell, but hasn't figured in their recent squads and the return to fitness of an injured player would further hamper his game time.

Blackwell told the press.

'I can't thank Tom enough for the effort he has put in for this club during his time here. He led the line for us almost single handedly at times and that has really taken it out of him. The lad deserves a rest. He's got to look and learn, but I know he has a long career ahead of him.'
