Keane To Stay For The Season

Keane To Stay For The Season

Leicester City have secured the loan signing of Michael Keane from Man U until the end of the season.

The youngster initial extended loan was due to expire after the Wolves game, but now Nigel can plan for the season knowing he will remain with us.

The Leicester Mercury say the deal will be announced officially next week, but carry quotes from Nigel Pearson.

'He will be here until the end of the season and we are pleased we can extend it. He has done well for us and he has played well. This is a good chance for him to get more league experience.'

In other news Jeff Schlupp will continue training with Manchester United until the end of the week. He has now been with the club for training for the past fortnight.

Speaking again to the Leicester Mercury Pearson wouldn't be drawn on whether it was with a view to a permanent move, saying simply.

'Jeff is enjoying himself there and he is there until the end of this week. It's good experience for him. Whether it becomes more is something for the clubs to discuss. I have spoken to him two or three times and things are going well.'
