'If It's Football, It's Vital'

De Laet Enjoying Goal Return

Ritchie De Laet has said he is enjoying getting the scoresheet in recent times, and he hopes it continues for the rest of the season.

Speaking to lcfc.com the defender has praised the way his colleagues have been dominating games of late, which has given him more freedom to charge forward and try and have an effect at the other end of the pitch aswell.

'If I keep getting into those positions then goals will come. That's two in two now for me so I have to keep working hard. It's just my game, I like to get forward, but I'm a defender first and foremost and I try to do my defensive job first. We controlled the game with our possession, which gives me an Konch the chance to get forward and support the attacks, which is what the gaffer wants us to do.'
