Shakey Pleased With Cup Progression

Assistant manager Craig Shakespeare said he was delighted with the professional performance the players put in today.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the 2-0 win, he said.

'The first goal was important for us, getting it early to settle us down. I think you can then say the boys were very professional, went about their jobs in the right way, we kept good habits and restricted Burton to very few opportunities. Keeping a clean sheet was pleasing too. We wanted to keep our momentum, but we also knew there were some lads that needed and wanted a bit of game time, which we were able to give them, but we needed to show Burton some respect as well. We know what they're capable of from the cup game earlier in the season.'
