Pearson - Burton Revenge Is Melodramatic

Pearson - Burton Revenge Is Melodramatic

It might be a melodramatic phrase for you Nigel, but it's certainly how I fell following the League cup loss.

Speaking to lcfc.com as we take on Burton for the second time in domestic cup competitions this season, Pearson points out that we have to make sure our own performance is right firstly, but he expects this game to be different to the league cup encounter.

'We've got to make sure our own game is right, that's the bottom line. The FA Cup always throws up a few shocks and we have to make sure we're not one of them.'

Addressing our previous meeting, Pearson added.

'It was a long time ago, it wasn't a game we performed well in, but it's a totally different scenario. To say it's about revenge is a little melodramatic, for us it's about progressing through to the next round and hopefully getting another positive performance.'

Maybe, maybe not. What isn't in doubt is this is the perfect opportunity to show how far Leicester have come in terms of consistency and application since the start of the season.
