Pearson - No Complaints On Defeat

Nigel Pearson has admitted he can have few complaints with our loss to Leeds last night as he doesn't believe we performed well enough throughout.

Speaking to lcfc.com after the loss, the gaffer admitted we simply went up to our usual levels, so really we can't complain.

'I don't think there was a great deal in it tonight, but I've got no complaints over the result. We didn't perform particularly well and when we don't manage the ball effectively it changes the complexion of games. We underachieved tonight. The first half was pretty poor, the second was a lot better in terms of trying to force the game, but we didn't show enough quality.'

Pearson is obviously looking for a reaction this weekend now, but that's a pretty stark summing up of the performance. The stats make for awful reading really, but credit where it's due, he hasn't coated it or made excuses. The players have to step up now.
