Pearson Holds His Hands Up

Nigel Pearson has admitted that we lost to the better team during the 90 minutes today.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the 2-1 loss Pearson said he was disappointed to see us lose our 100% home record, but we've got to focus on bouncing back in the next game now.

'I thought we came up against a very good side today and I think they deserved to win. Unfortunately, we had a few too many players that were a bit off form. What I will say though, is that some teams might have downed tools - not with our lot today. We huffed and puffed, but made too many mistakes.'

Pearson knows the day could've gone differently had it not been for the referee though, but it's more a case of what he said, by what he chose not to say today. A potential foul on Nugent in the box, and a possible handball also.

'People will talk about one or two decisions that were key, but I think it would be wrong for me to talk too much about that based on the fact they played very well and we were a bit off colour. My performances as a manager are scrutinized and I just hope the officials' performances are looked at.'

Regroup and go again, we know we can put a run together, now it's time to go on another one!
