Vardy Defends Penalty Incident

With all the controversy surrounding Leicester's penalty against Blackpool, the twitter abuse and Ian Holloway's own ranting, Jamie Vardy insists the referee made the right decision.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Vardy responded the claim that he was a 'diver' by the Blackpool manager by saying.

'I have cut inside him and he has banged into the back of me. If there is contact then it's a penalty, but I thought we should have had one just before but it's down to the referee. There was one on Lloyd just before and he said it was a definite penalty but the referee didn't give it. There was no dive, there was definitely contact and he hasn't touched the ball.'
