'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Behind Closed Doors Thrashing Of Lincoln

Whilst the Lincoln friendly was cancelled, we did host them in a behind closed doors friendly at the King Power, and came out as 5-0 winners.

Two goals from Lloyd Dyer, and singles from David Nugent, Jamie Vardy and Andy King handed us a 5-0 victory.

Craig Shakespeare spoke to lcfc.com following the game, and he said he was pleased that the team got the expected run out, even though it was unfortunate the fans couldn't watch the game.

'As much as we'd liked to have played in front of the fans, it was important we didn't disrupt the players' preparations, so we are extremely grateful to Dave Holdsworth and his staff for bringing a team to King Power at such short notice.'
