Foxes Ambition Clinched It

Foxes Ambition Clinched It

Jamie Vardy has said it was impossible to say no to Leicester once Nigel Pearson explained our ambitions to him.

In his first interview since joining the club, Vardy told lcfc.com.

'I had a chat with the gaffer and he told me about his ambition and where he wanted to go with the club. I was taken around all of the facilities and I couldn't say no in the end. He told me about where he wanted the club to go, the players we've got, where he wants to be next year and I wanted to be part of that.'

With obvious experience issues hanging around his arrival, Vardy said he was confident in his own ability to make the transition and he's looking to repay Pearson's faith in him next campaign.

'It's obviously going to be a big step, but I'm confident in myself that I can do it. The gaffers obviously been watching me and he thinks I can do it aswell, so I just hope I can repay him.'
