Sky Sports are reporting that Nigel Pearson is close to the capture of Manchester United youngsters Ritchie De Laet and Matty James.
They suggest that Leicester have been given permission to talk to the pair as they no longer figure in Ferguson's plans.
De Laet, a defender, has reasonable experience having made three appearances for United's first team and having loan spells at Sheffield United, Preston, Portsmouth and Norwich, whereas highly rated midfielder James has worked his way through the United Academy but has failed to break through into the first team.
