'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Kasper Delighted With Awards

Kasper Schmeichel has expressed his delight at being named Player of the Season by both his colleagues and the fans.

Speaking to lcfc.com after the awards ceremony, the 25 year old goalkeeper could hardly contain his delight.

'It's amazing, it's a great honour and I'm very, very happy. It means a lot to get the votes of the fans and it's nice to be recognised. The fans are very special to me and this has made me very happy.'

On receiving the award from his colleagues aswell he added.

'To get the vote of your team mates is very pleasing too. No matter what position you play, if your team mates realise that you're working hard it's one of the most important things for me. Nothing can make me hungrier to succeed than I already am, I just hope we come back fresh and ready for a proper push.'
