Shakespeare Hopeful On Walking Wounded

Assistant manager Craig Shakespeare is hopeful that Leicester will have a few of our injured stars back in contention ahead of the game against Coventry.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Shakespeare said he was hopeful that we would see the return of Jeff Schlupp, Martyn Waghorn, Darius Vassell and Matt Oakley sooner rather than later, with the possibility that we might have one or two back before the Coventry game. Paul Gallagher is another on the rehab list following his hamstring injury.

'It was really pleasing to see Jeff, Matt and Darius all outside training last week. They didn't take part in full training, but took part in the warm up, that was pleasing.'

Shakespeare said that whilst Gallagher would be a few weeks away, he doesn't believe the others will be that long now.

'You seem to lose one and get two or three back, every club goes through those cycles. We are hoping some of them might be back for Coventry.'
