Pearson Got The Response He Wanted

Nigel Pearson has praised the response of the players after seeing us progress in the FA Cup.

Speaking to lcfc.com Pearson said he was pleased with the spirit within the camp as the players gave him the perfect response after the Watford debacle.

'I'm very pleased with the result and the performance, I thought we played well and really mixed it up. We're putting the fans through the mill this season, but hopefully we can build on this sort of performance and this sort of result.'

Pearson wanted to make sure though that individuals didn't take too much credit for what he thought was an overall team performance by adding that even though St. Ledger and Nugent will take the headlines...

'Jermaine Beckford caused them all sorts of problems, so did Lloyd Dyer and Ben Marshall to make his first start and play as well as he did bodes well for the future.'
