Weale Returns Injured

Goalkeeper Chris Weale has sustained an injury whilst on loan to Northampton and he has now returned to Leicester for treatment.

He sustained the injury in the latter stages of Northampton's game against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday and it co-incides with the end of the original loan spell.

Scans have revealed that Chris will now have to undergo surgery on the knee injury, so obviously his loan will not be extended.

Speaking to their official site manager Aidy Boothroyd said.

'Chris has had his knee scanned and the result of that shows he need an operation. That is bad news for Chris and means his loan obviously won't be extended. He goes back to Leicester with our thanks and best wishes for a speedy recovery.'
