More To Come From Beckford

More To Come From Beckford

Nigel Pearson is adamant that there is far more to come from Jermaine Beckford in a Leicester shirt.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury the manager said that he was sure that Beckford was determined to become a success at the club and that fans shouldn't read anything into his substitution last game, which was purely tactical following Matt Mills' red card.

'Unfortunately he was a casualty last week, but I still think there is more to come. After speaking to him, he desperately wants to be a success here and we will do everything we can to help him achieve those goals. He has shown some encouraging signs but like every striker, he needs to be scoring goals.'

Having only found the net twice in 13 games Beckford's confidence is suffering but it shouldn't take too much for him to click if we keep improving as a team and creating the chances for him.
