'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Kasper 'The Friendly' Goalkeeper

Paul Konchesky has said that Kasper Schmeichel has all the traits to become one of the very best goalkeepers in England.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Konchesky said that Kasper shared many similar traits with his father - and we all know how blindingly good Peter was!

'He is probably one of the best I have worked with. He is only young but he will be up there as, if not the best, but one of them. He is like he dad so hopefully he can follow in those footsteps. You can see that in him, even his communication, and how much he likes to win games. He likes to have a scream aswell!'

In a somewhat up and down season for us so far, it's to Schmeichel's credit that he already has 8 clean sheets behind him. He's more than playing his part in our promotion push and Konchesky adds that this gives the team confidence to push forward in attack because of how reliable the man between the sticks is.

'It breeds confidence for the back four, if we can keep them out and (the strikers) can score them then we will have a great run.'
