Team Is Benefiting From Competition

Sol Bamba has said that nobodies place in the team is guaranteed as Nigel Pearson looks to keep us on winning ways.

Speaking to lcfc.com Bamba admits he didn't know when he'd get a chance again after being suspended for Pearson's first game in charge, but even though he was called back in for the win at Blackpool he knows his place isn't guaranteed if he doesn't perform in training.

'It's difficult to know if I will be picked for Saturday, I wouldn't be surprised if he changes it again. But it's not about me, it's about the team and winning games. I think the competition keeps you on your toes, it makes you a better player.'

Bamba adds he doesn't believe he did anything special to get his place back, because St Ledger hadn't done anything wrong - so he thinks Pearson just made a snap decision to shake things up.

'I don't think I did anything. I think the manager just made a decision. Of course I understand Ledge could be disappointed because he didn't do anything wrong, it's just the manager's decision, but I don't think I did anything special to impress him.'
