Pearson Expecting Difficult Blackpool

Pearson Expecting Difficult Blackpool

Nigel Pearson has said he is looking forward to seeing how the Foxes cope with a difficult Blackpool tie tonight.

A win would lift us into the play off places and make it a return of 7 points from Pearson's first three matches since returning to the club, but more over given Blackpool's attack and be damned style, Pearson wants to see how we cope tactically with them.

Speaking to lcfc.com ahead of the game, the gaffer said.

'When you play Blackpool it will always be a difficult game. Generally speaking, they're very fluid, very expansive and a typical Ollie side. We have talked about our gameplan and the best way of beating them.'

Pearson adds that he's been happy with the start so far, but he's not expecting miracles overnight, he's happy seeing match on match improvement in our play and consistency.

'We're still playing catchup and it's important for us to try to improve on a match by match basis. It's not always possible for us to do that, but you learn quite a lot about your players in different situations. We're a work in progress.'

However, he adds clearly the 'work in progress' element cannot be a long term thing as results are key so we can achieve our stated aims for the season.

'I want us to play well, but results are key. It's not a case of building a side and developing it over a long period of time, it's about getting results quickly. I want to see us go our with the desire to win games.'
