'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Schmeichel Delighted With Appleton Praise

Kasper Schmeichel was delighted to hear Pompey boss Michael Appleton describe him as the difference between the sides in the recent game.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Schmeichel said he wasn't sure what the fuss was about when it came to the Kitson save, and he was going to have a look at it on the coach, but he was delighted with Appleton's praise for him as he described that save as 'one of the best I've seen in 10 years.'

'If their manager told you that, I'm happy and it's nice to make the save. I've not had chance to see it but will look at the video on the team coach and see what all the fuss is about.'

Would've been nice to be a fly on the wall when he saw it.

It was a very very good save. Git! his father would have been proud!

how is he developing young Schmeicel?
The Fear
Going to be interesting to see if he can reach his fathers heights as he matures more brucey. Delighted with him The Fear. Always rated the kid and I'd hope we could keep hold him for many years to come. He could already be in the Prem in my eyes.
