Derby Our Best Performance Of The Season

Derby Our Best Performance Of The Season

Sven-Goran Eriksson hailed our performance against Derby the best of the season, and dedicated it to the fans on the anniversary of his first year in charge.

Speaking to lcfc.com Sven was clearly delighted with both the result and the performance, and he was delighted for the fans.

'It was probably our best performance of the season. We were very good, especially in the first half and to win such a big game, in that manner, is great for everyone at the club. It's particularly good to see the likes of Jeff Schlupp, Stevie Howard and Lloyd Dyer come on and show the hunger to play well. I certainly have a selection headache on my hands in a couple of weeks!'

That however though will have been exactly what Eriksson was hoping to achieve with such numbers in competition.

Sven, saved his final comments for the fans.

'Again, they were brilliant today. This win was for the fans. We all know that this is a big game for them but it was a big game for us aswell and we showed some of our potential. We know what we want from this season.'
