Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes thinks that fans should look at his performances as proof of how 'at home' he feels at the Foxes.
Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Gelson admitted that it has taken him no time at all to settle in since joining the club on loan, and he also thinks our other new recruits are finding their feet and we should see much improved results and performances over the coming games.
'I am happy, I'm settling in and I hope my performances show that.'
Speaking more generally about our start to the season he added.
'I think we should have four points more and, if we had that, I would be more than happy. I think we lost four points in an unnecessary way but we have to carry on in the same way as we did against Southampton. There is a lot of expectation but now everything is fine, everything is fantastic. There are 41 games left and we need to be calm, work hard and move in the same direction.'
There certainly seems an element of surprise at how we started the season, but all the players who roll these comments out in the press are singing from the same hymn sheet. We are looking to blame, they are redoubling their efforts, staying happy and focused with the knowledge that it will click properly on the pitch in good time and it's a long, hard season. We have time to make up the mistakes.
