'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Foxes Will Contest Schmeichel Red

Sven-Goran Eriksson has said that Leicester will be appealing any ban for Kasper Schmeichel, but he isn't confident of success.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury the gaffer said that Leicester would be appealing the one match ban Schmeichel has been given for his sending off against Nottingham Forest, but he wasn't at all confident that it would be a successful appeal.

'I am quite sure he will be suspended for one game, we can send in a report, but, if they listen - well, I can't count on that.'

Eriksson again said that it 'wasn't a very good excuse' from Kasper himself, but I think that's irrelevant really.

A pathetic booking and a pathetic decision from the referee.
