Lessons Learnt From Madrid Friendly

Lessons Learnt From Madrid Friendly

Andy King has said that he feels Leicester should adopt a 'Madrid style' element of play when we kick off the Championship campaign next Saturday.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury King said there was plenty that Leicester had learnt from the game and he believes we can improve ourselves further by copying some of the tricks that Madrid play with.

'It was tough the way they moved the ball around, it's going to stand us in good stead this season. We can look at how they play and hopefully add a little bit of that into our own game.'

Making the ball do the work, and getting other teams to chase it around certainly isn't a new tactic, but it is one that very few teams seem to master thesedays. You'd like to think we have the players capable of playing that way and entertaining in the process.

King also adds that the players are clearly aware of how they have to start the season if we are to live up to our expectations.

'We are looking forward to next week, our goal is to get promoted. Those first 10 games are massively important. We have to start really well. We have brought the players here in order to do that.'
