King: No Excuses For Missing Promotion

King: No Excuses For Missing Promotion

Midfielder Andy King has said Leicester have no excuses this season for failing to secure promotion.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury King said that he believed City's owners had more than lived up to their promise of backing the manager, and now it's up to the players themselves as there are no excuses for us not to be playing Premier League football next season.

'To have the high quality players how have been brought in is going to give us as good a chance as we could possibly have, the support of the owners have been outstanding and we can't ask for any more than that. It is down to us and they have done all that could possibly have been asked of them. The players who have been brought in will add to the ones we already have here, and now it is up to us.'

Difficult to disagree with the sentiment behind his words, promotion is our aim and with the money flying around at Leicester, both on and off the pitch, anything less will have to be considered a failure.

It's down to the lads on the pitch now to show they are good enough.
