Foxes In £750,000 Move For St. Ledger

Foxes In £750,000 Move For St. Ledger

It's being suggested that Leicester City have offered Preston North End £750,000 for Republic of Ireland international Sean St. Ledger.

St. Ledger has always been a player looking for his next step up, and following Preston's relegation to League 1 it was always likely he would be off for pastures new, but I am surprised that Sven has an interest in the player, should these reports turn out to be true.

It's likely any fee for the player will have to hit seven figures before Preston will be tempted to deal.

I'd be very surprised if Preston accepted this particular offer. Ipswich bid about £1.5m for him in January and we got nowhere because PNE said they wanted £2.5m. I know we're still after him but I'm not sure who is more likely to get him now.

Would make sense if he's coming into the end of his contract?? or we are going in under valuation just to see if PNE will be tempted following the relegation. No doubt PNE are hoping to start a bidding war though!
