Peltier Considers Himself Tough But Fair

Lee Peltier has described himself as a no nonsense defender who, inspite of his disciplinary record, thinks he's tough but fair.

Speaking to thebluearmy.co.uk Lee Peltier defended his card history having picking up 12 yellows and 2 red cards last term, and in his spell with Yeovil he picked up 15 bookings 2 years ago.

'I'm not a nasty player, but I do try to win the ball. I am committed, I think a lot of those were a bit harsh. Early on I was an out and out full back who just loved to defend, I am quite aggressive and like to get stuck in.'

Peltier insists however his game has moved on and as he's matured into a more rounded player who has more to his game now than simply defending, he thinks Leicester will see the best of him.

'At Huddersfield they encouraged me to get forward more, I think I have improved that side of my game.'

It certainly makes sense that Sven appreciated the work he has put in to that side of his game as in effect we were looking for a Naughton replacement, not somebody with a completely different type of game.

We'll never know until he takes to the pitch, but all the sounds around Peltier are positive.
