Sven Holds Key To Schmeichel Future

Kasper Schmeichel's agent has said that Sven-Goran Eriksson holds the key to whether his client moves to the Foxes.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Kasper's agent, Tony Lymn, said that he would hold talks with City in the next few days about the possible move of the goalkeeper to the Walkers but said that Schmeichel was still shocked at how things had turned out so a deal is by no means guaranteed, although obviously Sven wanting the player again was flattering.

'Kasper has the upmost respect for Sven, because he has worked for him in the past and, if he decided to join Leicester, then it will be because of Sven. He rates him very highly as a manager. He is also a manager who looks after his players well and we understand Leicester have some big plans for the future.'

Lymn also obviously pointed out that the announcement of a bid being accepted would alert other clubs to his clients availability and that's something that Kasper will have to consider before making his choice on whether the Walkers will be right for him.

I certainly hope we are his preferred choice as I've made no secret that I think he could be Sven's signing of the summer if it comes off.
