City Close To Securing Targets

Football Director Andrew Neville has said that the Foxes are close to potentially a dozen deals, and he's hopeful they will come off in the next 10 days or so.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Neville admitted that he would be surprised if all the deals came off, but he's very hopeful that the majority will - and as we've seen today Kasper Schmeichel was obviously on that list.

Others also believed to be are David Nugent, Huddersfield right back Lee Peltier, and Bristol City's Nicky Maynard.

'We have homed in on about a dozen targets at the moment, we won't get them all but, hopefully, we will get a number in the next few weeks. We are quite close on a number of acquisitions.'

Whilst some fans have been slightly worried at the slow pace we seem to be travelling at with new signings, Neville assures fans that they are busy behind the scenes and if possibly they want the new signings in at the beginning of pre season so they have the best chance possible of settling and hitting the season running.

Good news for fans who are keen on the club making some signings. If the named targets are correct, they'd certainly be good for the club.

You'll need to stump up £5m to even tempt Bristol City into selling Maynard.

Seems they are coming nicely to fruition now doesn't it Simon. Tins, £5m's a bit steep for a player with only 12 months left. Are you that confident he'll agree a new deal, or just hoping they keep playing hard ball?
