Foxes Will Be Prepared For Sky Blue Opener

Sven-Goran Eriksson has said that Leicester will be prepared for derby day when the new season kicks off.

Speaking to lcfc.com our boss said he knows the derby day atmosphere will make it difficult to start our season off on the right note, especially as we are away from home, but we will be prepared and we will take the fight to them.

'To start with a local derby adds extra spice to the occasion. Coventry will present a difficult challenge, but I know that we will be prepared.'

Sven adds that although he understands that fans would've preferred a home encounter as we look to start the season with 3 points, he doesn't think we should have anything to fear given our away showings and our away support last season.

'Our away support was incredible throughout last season. The thousands who travelled up and down the country made a real difference.'

It certainly does add a bit more spice and tension to the kick off of the season, but if our aim, as it should be, is automatic promotion this term, these are just the sorts of battles we need to face head on and come out with maximum points in.

Imagine how high confidence would be by putting Cov to the sword at the first time of asking!
