Foxes Welcome Real Madrid For Friendly

Foxes Welcome Real Madrid For Friendly

Leicester City will host Real Madrid in a pre season friendly on July 30.

Not only will this friendly be the Foxes premier friendly of pre season, but it will also be the only fixture that the Spanish giants will be playing in the UK - so credit to the board for arranging it.

Vice Chairman, Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn said.

'It's always been our intention to organise a landmark home friendly as a thank you to our fantastic supporters.'

Manager, Eriksson said.

'It's fantastic that Leicester City will be taking on one of the world's most famous teams. I'm sure it will be an exciting day for our players and, of course, all of our supporters. This fixture shows that the club is growing all the time and emphasises the owners' commitment to moving forward.'

Clearly this will be the first time the two sides have met, but hopefully it won't be the last.

Ticket details will be available over the coming weeks, and will go on sale firstly to season ticket holders.

Heh - I've been invited to this game and I might well consider it; not as if we'll be seeing the likes of Real Madrid at Ipswich any time soon! Could be an interesting game.

Quite a cue for the club isn't it. Should certainly be an interesting day out!
